Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid

The Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid is one of the two general hospitals located in the capital city of Valladolid. It is situated at 3 Ramón y Cajal Avenue, in the district of the same name. It serves as the successor to the Provincial Hospital of the Resurrection.

It is the reference hospital for the Eastern Valladolid Health Area within the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León. Along with the Río Hortega University Hospital, it is one of the two teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valladolid.

The hospital was inaugurated in 1978 and consists of eleven floors above ground on a relatively small base, as well as five basement levels, providing a total of 777 beds. A new Emergency Department was opened in 2015.
