I-solation researches the development of innovative AI-based digitalization solutions that fight against unwanted loneliness (SnD) and the direct involvement of family members and caregivers in this regard. Various environments of people’s location are addressed, taking into account the cooperation of companies in the health tourism and social health sectors.
I-Solation faces the challenge of combating and detecting unwanted loneliness (SND) among the elderly at an early stage through research into new technologies and the integration of agents belonging to sectors affected by this problem, such as health tourism (spas) and social health tourism (residences and home care), trying to offer personalised solutions to an increasingly large group of the Spanish population.
To this end, work will be done to investigate new functionalities of the “Amaia App” solution of the company Futuro and Vida Silver, through different algorithms and methodologies based on artificial intelligence to evaluate the emotional and cognitive state of the person in solitude, anticipating the identification of psychological problems. To feed the predictive model, the rest of the project partners will contribute to using the first version of the tool in the testing phase, obtaining a large amount of information from the potential user. Universidad San Jorge will contribute to carrying out a study and analysis that will allow validating through scientific evidence the contribution of the solution to mitigate the effects of the SND.
The project is proposed as an intercluster collaboration between Arahealth and SIVI, which represent two of the regions with the highest levels of ageing and depopulation (Aragon and Castilla y León). This is intended to make the initiative a national benchmark for its contribution to the fight against the SND.
The Cluster of Innovative Solutions for Independent Living (SIVI) participates in this project, which is coordinated by the Health Cluster of Aragon (Arahealth) and has the participation of our partners Fundación Personas and Fundación Santa María la Real, as well as the San Jorge University and the companies Ariño Hotel Balneario and Futuro and Vida Silver.
