Social Services Segovia Provincial Council
The Social Affairs Area of the Segovia Provincial Council includes the activity related to the provision of Social Services in the province. It integrates the central services, four residential centers (La Fuencisla Social Services Center, CAPDI “Los Juncos”, La Alameda Residence for the Elderly and the Juan Pablo II Center) and the four Grouped Social Action Centers of Cantalejo, Cuéllar, Pradena and San Ildefonso. This way the area manages the different social benefits in terms of Dependency, Home Help or Telecare, as well as prevention, promotion, inclusion and social integration programs such as Social Groups, Craft Workshops and Preventive Leisure.
The Segovia Provincial Council consolidates the multiple innovations accomplished in the last 15 years implementing them in its Social Service System, subject to continuous improvement, and always open to changes in the social context.
At the present time, the strategic planning of its Social Services “Innovation Strategy” (2021-2025) is in force, focused on three vectors that guide it and in which the lines of action will be specified:
V1.- A long-term support and care strategy.
V2.- A strategy for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
V3.- The Center for Research and Social Innovation (CIIS)
The inspiring principles of the strategy are: The 2030 agenda. Sustainable development goals (SDGs), person-centered care, gender equality, conscious affectivity.
